I created Pelléas Artists in 2002 when only 22 years of age and soon compensated for my lack of experience by showing a great deal of enthusiasm, and by taking lessons in meditation in order to be able to satisfy my artist’s wildest desires without getting a headache.

I have been fortunate to manage prestigious artists as well as young talents that have now  developed into artists in their own right. I do believe being a manager means more than simply putting artists into contact with opera houses and orchestras, it is sometimes more like being a bomb disposal expert, or a shrink and the line of duty goes from helping pick up a dress to helping pick up a score.

Obviously, we try to offer also a bit more than the usual management services; for instance, while charging probably the lowest commission rate in the market, we also produce demo material at our expense.

Among our services we book travel and accomodation, offer the services of a vocal coach based in Brussels, attend MIDEM each year in order to stay in touch with the CD industry and have an arrangement with a law firm that works on all the conflicts our artists could encounter within their professional activities.

I believe the market is now going through an important crisis and that singers –and their agents- should understand that their job is not only about making the highest possible profit, but about finding ways -hand in hand with other cultural actors- to offer the audience the best possible artistic experience.
