Born into a musical family, Florence Malgoire began her career under the guidance of her father Jean-Claude Malgoire within « La grande Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy » and of her teacher Sigiswald Kuijken with « La petite Bande ».

Since 25 years, she has been occupying the position of solo violin in prestigious baroque ensembles such as Philippe Herreweghe’s « La Chapelle royale », Christophe Rousset’s « Les Talens lyriques » and yet today William Christie’s « Les Arts florissants ».

She has performed on the most beautiful international stages and continues to enrich an already extensive discography.

Among her recordings: « Les Récréations » by Jean-Marie Leclair (Vérany), « Airs and Instrumental Music » by Henry Purcell (Vérany), « Sanguineus-melancolicus » by Christof Philip Emanuel Bach (Zig-Zag Territoires), with Blandine Rannou the integral of the sonatas for violin and harpsichord by Johann Sebastian Bach (Zig-Zag Territoires).

She founded « Les Dominos » in 2003, an ensemble with variable geometry,, specialized in music of the 17th and 18th century, which had early success (Naples, Beaune, Geneva, Lille, etc..). Being eager to deepen the work on sonata, Florence  co-founded « Les Nièces de Rameau », an ensemble oriented towards the repertoire of chamber music.

Parallel to her solo career, Florence is interested in musical direction: after a great success at the Radio Suisse Romande inviting her to take the musical conducting of Jean-Philippe Rameau’s motets at the festival Agapé, she conducted not only Rebel, Haendel and Bach, but also Mozart (Requiem) and Biber.

As European specialist in the domain of ancient violin, Florence travels around the world in order to provide advice and in particular to transmit her know-how: from Sablé to Tokyo via the Foundation Royaumont, the Juilliard School of New York or Rio de Janeiro. Since 2000, she has been teaching ancient violin and chamber music at the Conservatory of Geneva.
